Common situations we review

UK residents planning a move to Spain face a specific set of tax issues that require careful analysis before the move — not after.

📅

Residency timing

When does Spanish tax residency risk arise in practice? Days in Spain, family ties and economic connections all matter. Getting the timing wrong can trigger full Spanish tax liability unexpectedly.

💼

UK pensions & SIPPs

Spanish tax authorities treat UK pension structures differently. We assess your exposure so your retirement income remains as tax-efficient as possible after the move.

🏠

UK property & assets

The residency trigger date is critical for UK property sales. Poor timing can create accidental Spanish capital gains tax on assets you assumed were outside Spanish jurisdiction.

Beckham Law eligibility

Qualifying for the 24% flat rate regime can represent a significant saving. We verify whether your situation meets the requirements and how to structure the application correctly.

📊

Investments & income

Rental income, ISAs, dividends and business interests outside Spain may all become reportable once you become a Spanish tax resident. We map your exposure early.

📅

Pre-move planning

Disposals, restructurings or withdrawals made just before or after the move date can create significant tax events. Early planning avoids these pitfalls.

Why start with a paid consultation?

Generic online information about moving to Spain won’t tell you whether your pensions, your UK property, or your timing create a specific Spanish tax problem. This consultation does.

For most clients, the first question is not about filing returns — it’s understanding the full tax implications of moving to Spain before anything else happens. A 30-minute focused session identifies those risks clearly and tells you whether a full written assessment is worthwhile for your situation.

How it works

  1. 1
Book your initial consultation Select a slot via Calendly. You’ll receive a short pre-meeting questionnaire so we can use the 30 minutes efficiently. Fixed fee of €150, payable on booking.
  2. 2
30-minute online session We review your relocation facts, flag the key tax risks in your situation, and give you a clear picture of what needs attention before you move.
  3. 3
Decision point If your case warrants a deeper analysis, we’ll recommend a full written tax assessment. The €150 consultation fee is credited in full towards that engagement. Full assessment: typically €750–€1,100 fixed fee

Frequently asked questions

No. Many clients book at an early stage, precisely to understand whether the tax implications are manageable before committing to anything. The consultation is designed to give you clarity, whether you ultimately move or not.
We will tell you that directly during the consultation. Not every situation requires a full written report — if yours doesn’t, you’ll leave with a clear picture of your position. The €150 fee covers the consultation regardless of the outcome.
If after the consultation we recommend a full written assessment and you decide to proceed, the €150 fee is deducted in full from the final engagement fee. You only pay the difference — no double charging.
Yes. All information is treated with full professional confidentiality, as required by the Colegio de Abogados de Baleares. Nothing you share is disclosed to any third party.
Availability is limited to 3 sessions per week to ensure quality. In most cases you can find a slot within a few days. Select your preferred time directly via Calendly after booking.
